 first stop at the italian city ventimiglia

you visited a botanical garden, an italian city just cross the french border.  you just love the garden of hanbury, it's so spring here, but more details another time...

from ventimiglia, you went to sanremo for lunch and a good stroll of the promenade  ate the italian gelato in trio - melon, tiramisu and panna cotta.

you left sanremo for menton - briefly posed at the casino of sanremo

menton is more italian than french. you witnessed the last sunset of the year here... and it's pleasant.

the Christmas market is still going strong... perhaps french celebrates Christmas for 12 days... you don't know, all you know is all is merry on the last day of the year

and the Christmas market is still busy and active as if Christmas has never arrived.... you'd love to dine here, but it's way too early for dinner and you have plan to countdown at another country.

you celebrated the countdown at the square of monte carlo at monaco and you returned to beaulieu-sur-mer to dive into your bed past wee hours on the first day of 2013.
