you've been busy and yet every time when you look at the home grown apples sitting on your fruit basket, you said to yourself, tomorrow you will make something. and sure enough you have plenty of ideas in your mind, but time is just something you don't have at this moment, even you're working from home. you got to make sure you plant all your bulbs this week, as the weather is getting colder. you finally planted the front garden, and there are still some bulbs.

 but you finally come around to do something with the apples

 a for apple pie, the dutch style apple pie to be exact, only you drop the idea of lattice top and opt for something prettier and unconventional

 it's prettier and good enough to hold the entire pie....

 you're quite happy with the result, it's not soggy, no wet bottom like how the paul hollywood would judge in the greatest bake off program....

you just cut off the last bunch of lavender from your front garden while you're planting the bulbs this afternoon.  apple and lavender, they should never cross their path, yet you have both of them on the table. it makes you feel like you're just at the end of summer and beginning of autumn.  but the truth is summer has long gone....
