you normally don't sit on the window seat and the fact that you sat on one and not falling asleep you actually enjoy the view, particularly the changes on the cloud, the altitude and the bird's eye view of the city as taking off and approaching.
you landed in munich, took the train to the city to met up your colleagues and only been told the meeting with the potential client is cancelled. with the reasons that are ridiculous and more of excuse than actual reason to cancel the meeting at the very last minute. that said, your day became free and you're not complaining particularly you haven't been to munich for more than a decade.... you had lunch with your colleague and then you have the whole afternoon, evening and the next morning free!you checked out the city, not knowing the city well enough, you just walk from your hotel that's around the train station to the old town.
it's all the way a straight boulevard, shopping high street... and as soon as you reached this makeover city gate, you know you're close to the old city...
along the way, they're plenty buildings, not entirely historical but interesting enough to catch your eyes... this must be a museum
and this is another interesting architecture...
along the way there are plenty of sculptures to observe if you pay enough attention...
and before long you're at the marienplatz, the central square right in the heart of old town...
you could also go all the way up to the town hall tower for a view of the city but you just didn't bother, the temperature is quite low that you need to find a cafe to warm yourself up soon
munich is a nice city, however, you couldn't recall much of what you have seen and done in your previous visit in 1995...
