three quarters of the year has gone. it's september, you can already feel the hints of autumn in the air even though it's still sunny, blue sky with your favorite fluffy white cloud. the early morning and night is chilly.
you set off for a long train journey, it's probably a year ago since you hopped on a train and years for a long distance as such. you could go by car but you figured out going with the package from the train company is probably the cheapest to the floriade, an event that held every ten year and this time round is at venlo.
the park is huge, despite that the peak season is over, you still traveled with a lot of people from the shuttle bus and in most areas of the park. not knowing much about the park, he picked up a map for orientation and you both agreed where to visit and what to skip. a day is not possible to cover the entire park that spread across 3 to 4 main sections with vast trees/forest in between.
you are here to be inspired, the first stop is the house of inspiration, just at the corner of the entrance...
love the way the dome is built, with just tree brunches
and you spot a little house hanging on the tree
a long table made of the wood trunk, transitioning into the backyard. he sat there for awhile to figure out the orientation of the park
while you check out the backyard, where there's a little long "pool, some manicured borders with seasonal flowers and the backdrop of cable cars moving along the line...
this is really just your first stop, and you are inspired... right here at floriade.
this is just a quick glimpse of floriade 2012. you have taken more than 300 photos in a day... surely more stories will follow hopefully soon.
