::tramshed::tramontana::brindisa::

dinner with a friend at tramshed, a restaurant that serves only cow (well, some parts of cows) and chicken.
it's about 30 min walk from where you were, so the idea of strolling the city is welcomed especially under such a pleasant early autumn weather.
 you do see a chicken on the cow, although the photo taken from your cell phone could not do the justice
 you ordered a starter set for one person shared by both of you, sort of beef jerky with some vegetable cream sauce
 slice tomato with fresh ingredients and drizzle of olive oil
 the yorkshire pudding, or giant popover as you put it.  fluffy and airily. perfect to dip with the cold cauliflower puree.
 the main course. her chicken feet, ha ha, o well...
 a spring chicken for one. you refused to have chicken, so she has to opt for spring chicken, which came in a statement where the chicken feet was the showcase!
your 250g medium sirloin steak, yummy. nothing mind blowing but excellent as expected.
and just as your waiter offers to bring you the dessert menu card, you were told by another chief waiter that you must leave the table by 8.30pm. you're told that the condition was made known during the reservation and stated in the confirmation email. the booking was not made by you and you're too tired to make a fuss out of it. so you paid and go... friend dig out the email from iphone and showed it to the chief waiter, there's no limitation that we must go at 8.30pm, despite of the apologetic look, he couldn't get anything done. it didn't bother you, guess you're just too tired. so off you go...
wandering on the street hunting for dessert, you chanced into a very charming spanish tapas restaurant - tramontana brindisa at curtain road. you asked if it's okay to have just dessert and you're accepted with  spanish hospitality.
you place your order, but only later the charming waiter came in apologetic look to say they are not serving the dessert because it was burnt.  you looked at the dessert menu again, couldn't find anything you want, so you inquire about the degree of burnt. apparently it's only the edge that's burnt, so you suggest him to trim the edge and still serve you the dessert and you will not be critical...
moments later, your dessert came and it's free because it's not perfect for the restaurant to serve it.  you had a bite to it, and it's mind blowing, lovely anise taste and it's perfect for you.  the atmosphere is charming, lively and waiters and waitresses speaking english with spanish accent.  it's welcoming ambiance. you will be back again to this tapas restaurant soon.

walking from shoreditch back to the bank.  just a reflection - it's really not the end of the world when you got chased out from the other restaurant. in fact your night didn't end bad but excellently with great conversation, sharing and encouragement. in God's kingdom, the last shall be the first. when you lost your opportunity to savor the dessert at tramshed, you were given a free and excellent dessert at tramontana brindisa
