you wonder why it took you so long to watch the lion king. you briefly remember the story in the cartoon but seeing this in a theater was an amazing experience. it also momentary transport you out of your hectic day job and go on a safari with all the creative animals.
you arrived convent garden a little earlier to collect your ticket
wandering around the area, you decided to pop in to this cupcake house for some sweet treats
and this was your dinner, two cupcakes and a cappuccino
a rare find of commercial cupcake that didn't use coloring, but natural red velvet. the texture is fine only the cream cheese frosting is a little too sweet for you
another vanilla cupcake with lemon and coconut frosting, yummy! that's your dinner, you can swap main course with dessert. after all you couldn't really combine dinner with a theater show. you planned for supper later tonight, but that didn't come...
around the neighborhood, there's mama mia
a new production sherk is also showing
back to the lion king, it's amazing. too bad you're sitting at the upper circle, otherwise you will be in the close proximity with the "animal" and your king. but you still enjoy yourself from a distance. costume is great, dance and the entire production is just creative!
spot the lion king? all in all an amazing show, wonder why it took me so long to watch this performance. perhaps new york is too expensive for the broadway show. theater performance is so much affordable in london. now one crossed out, a few more to go perhaps... there are a couples of productions you would like to see anyhow, so hopefully next one soon.
