pekan nabalu - local produces of crops, pineapple and others. it's a dirty town. not just the dirt and the liters that you see everywhere but it's dusty too. you're like inhaling in dirty air during your brief stop there....
it does offer a lot of fresh produces, not entirely sure about the hygiene but certainly the bananas and pineapples are abundance
friend bought the sliced pineapple which you had a piecae (and that evening you had an upset stomach)
among many things what interest you most is the paddy rice, the locally grown rice, not sure if it's organic but you definitely got a few packs of those locally grown rice to haul them home.
you don't know what to say about this small town, for all the time you're there (less than an hour) you can't wait to leave this dirty place. you wish the hygiene would be better and the place would be more pleasant to linger but that's just not the case.
and when you eventually make the move, you feel so relief. what a mixed feeling!
