your last lunch in meow meow city before you fly to kuala lumpur to catch your connecting flight back to lowland. you stumbled upon this shop when you were strolling the old shop in padugan area.
foochow dimsum (福洲点心) seems to be light enough for your late lunch, so you made a come back after checking out the hotel.
it's down to earth, none atmospheric eatery or rather you called it kopitiam (coffee shop)
a big chicken bun, a small charsiu bun, four shio bee (siew mai) and a leaf rice
you had 8 of these goodies... (烧卖), really this is the center of your meal here...
the big chicken pao (鸡大包) is super big, and he's almost full after this
small charsiu pao (叉烧包), a tad too sweet to you
and a leaf rice (荷叶饭) for him. although the taste remains true and authentic to you and your memory of childhood, his disliked the flavor as it's not gear toward cantonese appetite.
well, the truth is this is meow meow city, where food and culture are focus and gear around hokkien (福建) and teochew (潮州)clan from generations to generations.
for you, this is the true taste of home.
