from nancy you drove to dijon, it's just slightly over 2 hours. y
you pay a short visit, first checking out the old city and you're thrilled to see the patterned roof top. not too many but enough to get a glimpse of burgundy architecture.
throughout the old city, you see the sign of owl on the floor. there's a route of owl trail for toursits and by following the owl, one could check out the monument of the city and also discovered the owls.
you found mason meliere, which is merely a tea room with a distinct character and rustic interior plus a garden with landscape wall that give you an illusion you are sitting at the vineyard in burgundy....
you had a lovely afternoon break at mason meliere. resting your feet, admiring the plants and flowers and the landscape painting...
you're more intrigued by the interior bric-a-brac and rustic decoration than the not so impressive painting out there at the garden. nonetheless a good break where you replenished your water intake and rest your feet.
you walk further and finally found your an artisan patisserie....
and had your salted caramel and cassis gelato. these are serious stuff with chucky cassis and chucky caramel in the gelato. heaven in such a warm afternoon....
the owl trail was like a treasure hunt match and you manage to spot only one owl :( and that's pointed by another tourist.
you're like a kid at the end trying to spot the last owl at the door or wall without the success.
from dijon you move on to beaune via the scenic golden hill - cote d'or route.
