Day 6: a.good.year.and.a .sunset

you planned for many things today, starting with pool time.
but first, you made an English breakfast and then head down to the pool for a cold punch.
sun is shining, blue sky, puffy white cloud
and green tree, what else you could ask for
your very first punch, not that cold though but it's good to seize the sunny morning when the heat is not so unbearable before you feel murky and stickiness start clinging on your skin.
you plan to visit a few shops before heading to TAR for an afternoon tea. but when you set out in the mid morning just before noon, the car tire punched * bummer*, not knowing what to do, you call your friend and thank goodness friend's friend sent some one to rescue. the car doesn't equip with the right gear that further delay the process. under the midday scoring heat, you feel bad to see the two guys lying on the road and jack up the punched tire and replace with a temporary one so that you could drive to the nearest tire shop to get it replaced. at that very moment, you thanked God for friends in this familiar yet not so familiar environment. to cut the story short, the tire is replaced with a goodyear one.
you head to TAR for the afternoon tea, is not too much delay after all. you chose the western ones because the man doesn't take anything spicy and sour, hence traditional english afternoon tea is the safe choice. despite western, tropical fruits are used,
it's a very warm day, humidity is at 100% you're perspiring but it really slows you down... albeit sweating like no body business, you kinda enjoy it, you have had enough winter and you do appreciate sweat that come by easily, almost effortlessly in country like this...
fan would not help this afternoon.

sunset is beautiful, today is one of the rare day that it doesn't rain. you enjoy the sunset but amused by the dress code of a group of tourists. this place used to be frequented by caucasians. but these days the asians reign!
you had to the nearby hawker center for dinner, wanting to try the satay and chicken wings only these food are really not tasty at all! perhaps you ordered from the wrong stall but food is really mediocre, bah!
without any satisfaction from the satay and chicken wing, you order a portion of this, some kind of  meaty keropok (cracker) made of fish paste. they're okay.
heading back to TAR again, you continue to chill at the hotel lounge watching the band singing... it does begin to feel like a vacation now ^^
