hit.or.miss

back to london.  you arrived sunday night as you have an early morning induction to go to.
you woke up early morning and walked to upper liverpool street, submit your passport, sat and listened for 30 min of compliance, safety and security video, had your photo taken, security pass made. voila, you are officially independent in your client's office.  no longer rely  on someone else pass to get in and out of the restricted area.
you head to china town C&R for this bowl of pan meen.  they only serve this on limited days - sun to tue. this is the first time you hit china town on monday for you're usually tired due to morning flight. but then again this week is an exception.
the pan meen is so good. such a soothing bowl of broth, full of dried anchovies and minced meat flavors, the dried mushroom enhanced the woody and earthiness of the broth. you wanted to have some chopped chili to go with but after a taste of the soup, you're happy to eat them just as it's served. natural. no chili. there's no trace of msg either.
and the rojak is blah. total disaster! judging by the look, you already know this is a big mistake.  a hybrid of malaysia rojak and indonesia gado-gado? a BIG no no...  dining at this eatery is either a hit or a miss.  thumbs up for the pan meen but blah for the rojak.
work is hectic again. gonna work on a bit more and hit the sack.
