second.generation

your last meal in germany before you conclude your short overnight trip. since you're here in dusseldorf , your general choice of dinner would of course be the Japanese ramen .
you've been wanting to try takumi tonkotsu ramen, so instead of the original shop, you went to the new outlet, its called the takumi the second generation which serves only tonkotsu based ramen.
a small mortar and pestle was given with black and white sesame.  you are suppose to grind the sesames
an additional onsen egg for him...
a small portion 4 pieces of kara-age fried chicken for yourself but this is sub standard compared to the original store...
he had an original unmodified tonkotsu. the soup itself is great in its original version, unaltered by other taste, it's even a tad better than the one you tried in London. but his complaint was about the noodles. apparently he finds the noodles thinner and has a different texture, though in your opinion there's no difference
you ordered their limited edition ebi tonkotsu ramen only to find the soup has changed because of the shrimp added to the thick pork bones mellow soup

perhaps you had too high expectations but both of you were disappointed. you will still eat at takumi but not in this new shop.  in fact the normal miso ramen served at the original store is more appealing to you.
