5/23 siniawan

30 min drive away from the city, you're at this small town.  the town or the village basically forms by two rows of wooden shop houses...
it's not busy on the night, perhaps the rain put people off and stay put in the city

the business just started when you arrived, the tables are yet to be set but that didn't bother you as you take your time browsing the shops and chatting away with your friends...
this place is like in the 70s or 80s... you're transported to your childhood time...
as you see kids running around care freely, that's the time and eminence of your childhood... the stage is set up for public karaokay, everyone can pay a dollar to sing...
as you walk passed and scan through each shop, you can only agree, this is the sort of atmosphere that has long gone...
yet you found it here in siniawan on the weekend market...

it's really not very busy and perhaps not really interesting for the younger generation but it really appeals to you...
you finally settle down at one restaurant, ordered your tomato noodles, some satay and mixed fruit salad (rojak) to share
eating and chatting with your childhood friends.... it's nostalgic and memorable...
