saint.john.doughnuts

you walked for about 40 minutes to this maltby street to get your saint john's doughnut.
you read about it somewhere that they make good bread and doughnuts. so the curiosity brought you here.

you are here really for the doughnuts. tug in a rustic or almost abandon area, albeit there are some lively market on the other side, the area where saint john is located is really just this one outlet but with a very long queue.

the bread that they are selling, just a simple stall, with simple table setup and it must be famous. and everyone is here for the doughnut!
you stood in the line, didn't wait long to get your doughnuts, one custard doughnut, one golden rapsberry jam doughnut and a eccles cake.
peeping into the paper bag, you know your doughnut is oozing out at you, especially the custard cream
one bite, they are so so good.  the custard is light and dashed with alcohol, although you couldn't pin down exactly which one is that. eating this fresh on the street as you walk back towards the borough market, you know it's worth the trip.
eccles cake is another specialty of saint john. you couldn't tell exactly what it is made of, but you taste nutmeg, current and some peels in them.  it's great even it's a tad too sweet for you.

all in all, worth the walk and frankly speaking you won't mind walking there again given another weekend but certainly not in the middle of winter.

second day of workshop. your main part is done, all you need to do is to sit in the workshop tomorrow because you are overall responsible for that but you don't have to lead and facilitate the workshop anymore.  if it's up to you, the work week is done, but in reality you still  need to prep for an internal training that you need to deliver.
this afternoon, your management came to you and compliment that you have got a very good feedback from the client's management team and that you should know about this.  basically your management and your client had a call with someone very high in the organization of your company. your name were mentioned and your contribution were acknowledge by your client. it's good to know and as you say, all glory and honor go to the Lord.  it is He who has given you this spirit of excellence and that you constantly excel in everything you do, exceeding your peers and the expectation.
tonight you are going to rest and only worry about the training tomorrow.
