you know it will never go wrong to frequent this la gatta matta restaurant literally translated to "the naughty cat", whenever you're running out of dining option or too tired to discover another one in parma. the food here is always playful and full of surprises.
cauliflower vanilla soup with cabbage balls, so smooth, so heart warming and yum!
your main course which you ordered a tuscany style boar dish with polenta. the dish itself is a bit too hearty for you tonight, given that you've been carnivorous the night before, you're not keen in consuming all the meat.
the dessert is however worth the wait, it's called "autumn" and indeed every element on this plate has the hint of autumn, with walnut biscuit, caramel ice cream, persimmons, pumpkin. you wiped this clean and such a delightful dessert!
the display at the counter while you'r paying, chestnut is everywhere! that being said, this is your last night in parma, the next trip will not happen in awhile till next year!
and it has been a great parma year!
