you were at a friend's place on sunday, to celebrate mid autumn festival. you arrived late, typically after the sunday service, but the food are still plenty.
fried rice with chinese sausage, a very mid autumn taste. it really reminds you of hong kong where the taste of the air dried/smoked meat are plentiful. the chicken curry and some fried rice noodles.
while adults were sitting around the long table, casually chatting and eating, the living room is filled with more than 10 kids, never short of shouting, giggling and the entire living room turned into kids playroom.
when you are done with the main savory dishes, the desserts are laid on the table. again there are never short of food when malaysians are gathering together... the table didn't even include the full selection of moon cakes.
that's him, trying to baby sit or playing with kids, both around 5 to six months, cute and adorable with their own distinct characters
and then the lanterns time. it looked like adults are more enthusiastic than the kids in fixing the candles
holding the lantern and it brought back good old memories. even for you, it's a nostalgic, home coming memory. and really nothing best express the festival with these chinese character 八月十五庆中秋.
