sunday in london. this is one of the first this year!

you joined your friend to her church at wembley.  only it gets a little complicated because the northern line is not running and hence you have to get yourself to some where nearby, and then hop on to a service bus to wembley park station.  from there you were met by a ghanian lady in her colorful costume at the tube station where she ushered you to the church in an industry area.

once you arrived, it took you awhile to realize that you are still in london and not in africa. yes the church congregations are primarily african nations.

how about your friend's taste? she certainly has a very eccentric sense of fashion.  not main stream and yet never out of place. you certainly love the matching of pale blue socks with red leather shoes. what a statement but she certainly carries these naturally and effortlessly.

today, the sermon is all about love, above all, LOVE!
ephesians 6:16 - above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one
james 5:12 - but above all, my brethren, do not swear, either by heaven or by earth or with any other oath. but let your “Yes” be “Yes,” and your “No,” “No,” lest you fall into judgment
colossians 3:14 - but above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection
1 peter 4:8 - and above all things have fervent love for one another, for “love will cover a multitude of sins
3 john 1:2 - beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers
the pastor has a very inspiration way of sharing his sermon and you concluded that above all you must give love to others so that they come to know Jesus. above all, you will invest passion in your job, and all things will change...

 you head to the city in the mid afternoon. walking from oxford street, cutting through the carnaby street to china town.

 where you sat in a dining area that resembles  mongolian tent to sample some manchurian dishes...

 the cold starter of pork with spicy marinate

 东北粉皮 mixed veg and shredded pork with glass noodles

 stir fried aubergine in broad bean sauce

水煮牛肉 beef slice in spicy soup is probably the blandest dish of the night.  it's really nothing special even the restaurant in lowland can make a more delicious version of this dish.

all in all a greasy but satisfying meal.  some intimate sharings about the same topic of love and testimonies of the work of God in your life... above all, a sunday that you felt the love of God, you feel the urge to pass on this love, encouraged and blessed.
