friday evening in london. you stayed for another night originally for other commitment, but this turned out differently and you're glad you made the choice.
london was drizzling whole day, but that didn't stop you from checking out ittenbari ramen shop in the vincity of soho and regent street.
the place is humble, like any ramen shops you can find in japan. thus it's authentic, you hope! the menu is simple, three basic types of ramen - shio (salt), shoyu (soy sauce) and miso (fermented bean paste). the side dishes are typical or authentic too, gyoza, some rice topped with shredded pork.
and the fact that 90 percents of the customers here are japanese.
you ordered a portion of gyoza and it may not be the best that you have eaten but certainly consistent or above the average.
your bowl of regular size shio ramen. clear broth but tasty with complex layer of flavorings. just exactly what you needed to fight the damp, wet and dull friday evening.
and the noodle is good, springy and certainly a way better bowl than the recent try at tonkotsu. tonkotsu is more localized and geared for western customer but ittenbari is your type of ramen shop.
you took the tube and went to church for a healing and restoration seminar. the speaker is from dubai.
the seminar started late due to the rainy condition where public transportation runs slower and traffic congestion everywhere. nonetheless, it did get started, at the start of the worship, you already felt the strong presence of the Holy Spirit. the speaker preached with lots of scriptures, his eyes remained close most of the time but his word is powerful, so powerful that you can literally feel God's presence
many people received healings both physical, emotional, spiritual healings. you feel very at home here despite this is a very negro based congregation in london. then God loves all the nations and most importantly you feel very at home. you're glad you chuck your other plan which is the original reason why you stay on friday night.
one thing for sure, one evening in the house of the Lord is better than the thousand years out in the world. one thing you know, you have the mercy that overflowers you, you received the strong message that you finally have peace in your heart, and that's the peace that the world cannot give.
happy weekend. you are happy to be home.
