 "o Christmas tree, o Christmas tree.... " you are not sure if there's such a carol but the rhythm tickles in your mind...

well, you haven't put on the Christmas carol cd yet... still need to located them in one of the drawers. but you have certainly put up a Christmas tree already. it's still rather naked but it will be pretty, festive and cozy very soon (hopefully).

 the dining table lamp is decorated, with the same ornaments you have been using for years (nothing new here)...

you baked a batch of Christmas cookies.  not typical Christmas taste as such but certainly Christmasy with the tree cookie cutter.  they are cheesy and full of cumin aroma.  it's an english Christmas cookie with a touch of indian spice... they are savory, so it's great when you don't have your sweet tooth on.

the old wooden tree is also up too at the window.  there'd been discussion to replace this but over the years you just dress it with new decor and turn the old boring tree into a new look.  you just did the same this year...

baking will have to stop today, you still have work to do and two hours drive southbound tomorrow.  let's hope that will be indeed the last work travelling of the year!
