really you're at the very south east edge of germany that visiting salzburg is just 30 min drive away. so you decided to pay a visit to the city of 'sound of music'...
you haven't been having any decent coffee since you came a few days ago, so prior to your trip, you search for some nice cafe where you can have your caffeine fix
cafe tomaselli seems to be the oldest cafe in the city, the review is mixed but you decided to pay a visit any how since you have tried both sacher and demel before in vienna.
you asked for hot chocolate as this is supposed to be their signature drink. to be honest may be it's a mistake to order a hot drink under such warm weather where you already melting away... the hot chocolate is great but you didn't enjoyed it and you have certainly taste the better one at angelina.
your walnut coffee cake and his apricot tart...
you didn't finished your cake as you find it a tad too sweet when you're having it with your hot chocolate and the cake is quite dry too....
his apricot tart on the other hand is yummy with the balance sweet and tart, a definite better choice than my cake...
that said you did enjoy your short moment in this cafe, sitting outside under the shade. you certainly had your chance people watching. salzburg is too touristic for you.
