well, just before rowing, a quick bites to pick up the energy...
at the shore of koningssee, along the shops and eateries, you choose one least busy one

 you had a pretzel...

 a goulash with a potato ball to share

 and the extra sausages for him

 then you're off, rent a boat and start rowing....  well in this case he did most of the rowing...

 it's a perfect way to cool down. the weather has been extremely hot the last two days....

 being close to water is actually the best remedy to chill..

but not long after, you sense the changing of weather and the fact that the dark clouds are gathering... so you quickly row back to the shore and return your boat.  in no time people are getting themselves ready to move as well... the storm and rain came in split second, starting from the other side of the hill and it reaches you before you reach your car.  so you have to find shelter at the visitor center together with many others...

and beside the outpouring rain, you got hail as well, look at what he got on his hand! well, hail in the summer and as big as this in comparison to a palm size. nature is powerful!
