there's a time and season.  september seems to be the perfect time for trimming and pruning

 you're busy with some of your precious indoor plants... trimming them down, giving them the right support and cutting the leaves of tin chat plant (for dishes)...

and you went to the garden center the other day, grab variety of bulbs and these will need to be planted in october before the first frost and then your garden and the gardening activities will go into winter hibernation...
