basaga.love

a paradise found. In your birth city. a secluded hiding place that even most of the local people not aware of. you came across this hiding place by chance.
basaga is the sort of bean that your grew up with. you collected a handful this trip and you were thrilled and excited as you pick them up from the ground. So many memories, and the tale of friendship, like an open book, flipping pages after pages as your memory about the past becomes clearer in your mind.
you felt very at ease as soon as you checked in to this place, the room is basic but moderate and comfortable. he felt very at home too, right here at basaga.
basaga is the malay abbreviation for buah saga and you know it as 相思豆. you and your friends collected a big jar individually and you play the game 'odd' or 'even' by dividing the beans until the last bean(s) to determine if you win by 'odd' or 'even'.

you love this place and the fact that it has a simple pool and non pretentious ambiance. good enough to sun bath or take a quick punch.

and a lovely courtyard where most people come here for drinks with friends and chat the evening/ night away under the stars and humid air.

or chilling and lounging at the verandah under the cool breeze of the fan. whichever way you choose, the courtyard is a pleasant way to spend the evening to unwind.

it is also pleasant to sit here by day, and having this place all for yourself. Ipad-ing, reading or even day dreaming if the heat didn't bother you.

Or simply walk around the not so big compound to appreciate the basaga tree, seeing the green pods hanging on the tree.

and looking on the ground in search for the red basaga beans...

Or the plant along the pool side room bloom in lavish green

Or venturing further to the main building, touching and wondering what this red plant is called.
Or simply enjoying these paradise birds...

you discover basaga residence this trip. You rediscover basaga beans(相思豆) this trip. you love the way you relate back to your life in Kuching through basaga. those memories were good.
