just a thought

we have been busy with gardening.  well, "gardening" is a small word while in reality we are busy tearing down the "jungle" and restoring the "garden".  this is the consequences of us or rather me for being absent from home for too long.  when you leave your backyard unguarded, this is what happened...

not only we have to maw the grass but there are just too many weeds. our flowers are not blossoming and plants are not growing because these weeds  rooted so deep and long surround the root of the plants. while busying clearing the weeds and its root, this thought come to me as a reflection.  reality is those roots are really hard to remove once and for all from the earth.

i am just reflecting how true is this situation apply to our spiritual life, as a christian i need to live a holy and righteous life. living my life according to God's standard is a process itself, let alone when we face circumstances where i am hurt by others, or commit a  little sin, tell a lie, show anger, hatred and un-forgiveness.  all these little "things" when unguarded would jeopardize our spiritual life all together just like these weeds, taking rood deep and long.

that's why we need to constantly examine and watch our life, our act and our deed to ensure we are living a righteous uncompromisable life. reading and meditating the word of God is one of the way to keep our spirit clean and becoming more sensitive to His voice.

i am totally exhausted after two days in a row at the garden, i am not complaining, the weather is good and i am relaxed, my muscles are tight but my spirit is refreshed by the teaching of God's word today at the church and by this revelation and how God's uses the weed to speak to me.

sipping a glass of japanese matcha (green tea) latte to end my sunday and i dust it with the sakura that i processed yesterday, this give a distinct pink to my green tea latte and also a subtle sakura taste to my drink.

hope you had a good weekend too! blessings for the new week.
