it's an early start but nevertheless, it's totally worth the trip. from viareggio, you took the boat sailing to cinque terre.
if you remember correctly a single journey is around three hours or just under. you past by a number of beach resorts along the tuscany coast line before journey into the linguria coast line.
and when you see these houses on the cliff, you know you're approaching the famous five fishing village - cinque terre. honestly speaking you took photos for all the five villages from the boat but you probably couldn't recalled which city is it exactly.
in the order of the boat ride, you past by riomaggiore, manarola, corniglia, vernazza and finally stopped at monterosso
it's an amazing boat trip, starting with the beach and the dramatic italian alps backdrop at viareggio region to the mediterranean sea of the linguria coast, then the
most people get to the cinque terre by land, the fact that you did it via the sea approach allowed you to appreciate these five fishing villages from a different perspective. a day trip is definitely too short but given the circumstances and the opportunity arise in an unexpected way, you're thankful for your brief visit here.
