vietnamese.pho

it's been awhile since you last went out for dinner after sunday service. you went out with a group of brothers and sisters to a vietnamese restaurant in rotterdam.

your pho, this is almost the standard menu every time you dine in a vietnamese restaurant.  the soup is clear, no trace of artificial flavorings yet is packed with flavors from the herbs and beef bouillon.  you wish the garnish would be more generous as you really like the vietnamese mint leaves.
his lemon grass beef with noodles.  quite yum as well, though you still prefer your soupy pho more than this.
and the dessert, you're intrigue by the flavors as it claimed ginger, lemon grass and lychee. it turned out that lemon grass is barely recognizable or may be it should be called basil flavor.  the lychee flavor is distinct but with a very strong sourly and acidly after taste.  the ginger is recognizable but lack in flavor.  all in all the main dish is acceptable, probably the best you have tasted so far in rotterdam but the dessert is totally forgettable,
that said, the fellowship and the companions is something that you really missed for awhile.  while having dinner another group dinner date has been set...
