you fixed a date to show your girlfriend you "secret garden" and little you know you also ordered the fine summer weather... hence it's a perfect day for such a garden setting.
first thing first, brunch. since you already had your breakfast at home, so you opt for the simplicity
the shrimp croquette. simple dutch food at its best, just a drizzle of lemon and you could taste the dutch rose mini shrimps. and it goes best with the house salad.
the painting session starts post brunch, with a glass of bubbles at hand each of you embark in your own painting...
and in less than 30 min the water color painting is done. each of you while looking at the similar outlook in front of you, have completed your painting with some imagination,
one rather wild with three naked ladies sitting and admiring the hotel converted from water tower. one obviously drawing with her boy in her mind and the glass at hand. while yours is just a painting without (wild) imagination but yet not entirely reflect the landscape.
when painting is done, you decided to wander around the garden, first encounter the cosmos in the field
and many other plants, flowers and edible herbs, vegetables and more... it's a wonderland for anyone who loves gardening...
and all three of you couldn't resist this beautiful plant and decided to replicate the plant at home...
it's a sunny and rather warm day. you're exhausted shortly after a round in the rather huge garden and it's already a time for tea. tea consists of house defused iced earl grey tea for you and the others opt for house defused iced green tea. it turned out to be a really healthy kind of drink without much added sugar. you're absolutely fine with this. choice of cake of lemon meringue, cheese cake and chocolate cake, while they're all legit, you kind of love the cheese cake more than the other two, anyway, it's a sweet and happy ending to call it a day!
