home.made.dimsum

i am switching to a differentt topic for this entry. no travel story for now but home made food.  it has been since ages that we stay at home for a weekend and he is suddenly in the mood of making dimsum.  dimsum is food that we usually eat at chinese restaurant but if he wants to raise the bar to make them, i always have a stomach to be his guinea pig...

yesterday, he took the trouble to really make the steam turnip cake (臘味蘿葡糕) from beginning, i.e. from shredding the white turnip, to mixing the flour and steaming it for 45 min.  i must admit is good for the first attempt...

today, i pan fried them so that they are lightly brown each side and garnished with fried shallots and onion ( in the absence of red chili and dried turnip 菜脯 that otherwise would be perfect)

a weekend before we depart for france, he made these beef siumai (烧卖) as well...
soon i will have a dimsum "si fu" at home i guess. and i won't mind really...

it's another new week, hope this week will be better for me and that things are better in my control this week... i received a lot of strength through the sermon preached in the church today and the prayer support from my care members.  surely i will be an overcomer.  wishing you a blessed week ahead too!
