you're supposed to go to a book club with a friend but she's not feeling well, so the plan's cancelled. you're all determine to go out, even not for long but just for a quick disconnect from your stressful project situation. you headed to lancaster gate to one of a typical malay cafe.  bonda cafe is located at basement, the deco is simple canteen like, it's almost like any typical kopitiam back home.

you ordered mee goreng mamak (hawker style fried noodles) which was great.  great in the way it has enough "wok" spirit, as it's fried under high flame. 

to secure your source of green, you also ordered a portion of brindi curry (lady finger in curry sauce). 

they are both yum and delicious.  you also ordered some take aways, but that's another story.

after the dinner, knowing that lancaster gate (situated along bayswater) is not too far from oxford street, you decided to take a stroll, to fight off the heaviness in your mind and to seize a chance for some work walk out.

indeed after some 20 min stroll, you are at marble arch and then the ever bustling busy oxford street.  

the window display at selfridges is fun, featuring a special edition handbag of LV, a crossover with a japanese artist...

 inside the food hall, there's this huge display of marmite, an array of marmite gold, a limited edition you supposed.

 another array of normal day to day marmite.  however, your love is more towards brovil, although you don't mind marmite, but now that you are in london where brovil is easily accessible, you preference is clear.

 ginger bread man came too early? well, these are some sexy cookies on sales at the food hall.

 there're plenty of sweet treats, parisian style

or the normal american galore cupcakes. you picked up two cupcake instead, as you deserved a sweet treat after such a long walk from lancaster gate station to oxford circus, before you hop on to the tube to head back to where you lodge.

a good evening break away, even though it's brief, but you feel more relax, moreover the weekend is here!
