beaune.farmer's.market

saturday farmer's market in beaune.  in the setting of old city at the square around the hospice d' beaune....
so you changed your plan of the day and head to the market instead.  only you're expecting a quick stroll and a short visit
but it turned out to be a long and lengthy one. you just lost your time in this vibrant market and soaked in all the things the market offers
in fact you walked the market a few rounds, testing the honey and the fruits on offer here and it's just to

you totally in awe with the colors of the fresh produces... it's just too clean and dry to be a weekend market in your opinion....
the products are nicely arrange in array of colors... and they are so enticing too
you love the heirloom tomatoes which is called the heart of beef here, the pretty radish and artichoke, and your favorite berries too... they are not necessarily cheap but you certainly pay for the quality here... if only you're here for a much longer period and if only you're in an apartment or a place with kitchen, you would buy them all and cook your heart out
but in reality, you're here for a long weekend and hence you can only breath in the scents and the aroma of the fresh produces, register the colorful images with your eyes in your mind or with your camera....
 the big fat dry figs
the lemony verbena leaves, the sort of scent you really like especially in your tea ^^
another section of the market is selling antique and it's quite interesting because what's on offer here is primarily the tools and utensils of the vineyards and the rustic cooper kitchenware... interesting for a change!
and you looked around and he acquired a alsace inspired wooden tray...

your acquisitions of the day, two jars of honey, lemon verbena leaves, dried figs, apricots and cherries... fruits for immediate consumption and the others are for later use of course.
