masterchef.wakaka

you have a serious occasion to attend, serious because all of you have been talking about it for months and have been discussing about your entry if not for months then at least for weeks.  this is really just a casual gathering but being labelled as masterchef wakaka as it's denote a competition in an hilarious way.

the kid's corner, where they can entertain themselves with this cotton candy and jump into the lake as desired...

the nasi lemak condiments and among others as the food is being prepared and dished....

the sides, fruits and greens for bbq

the bbq of shrimps and satay which really serve as extra because the main dishes are abundant at the main table

some of the main dishes, you probably missed out some photos here but these are all contesting entries for the masterchef wakaka champion....

and the mains table is almost ready to be served.  this is almost like a yearly affair now where friends congregate at this lovely house by the lake in spring or summer.  the location is just perfect for occasion like this, let alone the food that everyone contributed...

and this year gathering has a different dimension to it where food are being contested.  however the competition is not based on technical skill but based on popularity of the food.  in this essence, friend's mochi and yours sea coral mango kerabu won the runner up of different category.  and the pretty lady next to you who hold the trophy won both the mains dish (confit canard) and batik cake.

champagne time, you do it the french way, drinking champagne with your dessert, perfect in every sense....

cheers ladies (not all in the photo), hopefully more years of such annual occasion to come where we can desperately share the skill of cooking, passion in baking and the knowledge and tips on gardening.
