terrace.lunch

you're back and you brought back the burgundy sunshine, heat and some burgundy goodies with you...  a sister from taiwan is visiting and staying with you, you had a very spontaneous garden lunch... really impromptu, but every thing is organized within half an hour.
the food are laid on the table and the lunch begins... it's in fact a rather quick lunch as both of you are working.... but that didn't spoil the mood for the very first lunch under the mid afternoon sun and still pretty comfortable....
quick and easy strawberry tarts with store bought tart shells and pastry creme... you usually make everything yourself but the store bought version is handy in moment like this
cantaloupe with french ham, frequent recurring during summer
this is the cold meat from burgundy, you forgotten the french name but the terrine is very herby and it matches really well with the lightly salted cold meat, perfect for this weather and it would be even better if you could sit longer and wash down with a glass of white wine....

l'epoisses cheese, you're sold on this really!  very creamy and salty cheese but yet it's perfect in every sense when you eat with bread, cracker or with some sweet fruit confiture...
this is home made,  pork floss swiss roll. when you baked this, it isn't meant for the terrace lunch but it serves the purpose well.... again a sweet and savory version....
cooked and chilled shrimps, this meant to be your dinner on the evening of your return, but you ate on the way home so this was saved for the lunch...

despite the fact that lowland is now under attack by heat wave, you're grateful that you can enjoy the warmer days finally and the fact that you could sit out in the garden till late night.  you're not going to complain but cherish every moment of the heat ^^
