it's almost time to start christmas baking. you're a bit reluctant since none of you really fancy the holiday cookies but with some free time at hand, you went ahead with your planning...
you hauled back a pack of chestnut flour from parma. knowing that such flour is rare in lowland and after asking around and research on the internet, you finally decided to put your hand on biscotti.
there are plenty of good biscotti recipe in the internet, perhaps it's just the italian vibe that you caught recently and you wanted to have a little bit of italian twist on the already italian biscotti. anyway, you just try half portion of the recipe, the chestnut flour has a natural sweetness and the outcome is quite good to eat just on its own, let alone dunking it in your cappuccino or hot chocolate.
during the second time baking, one of the biscotti got burnt in the oven, you're quick to spot it (and the burnt smell is predominant anyway) and stop the further baking.
