3/17 dimsum.errand.beach

you took the west and east rail to reach your destination. it was a long ride from the second last station of the west rail interchange to the east rail before you finally reach your destination.
the sky of hong kong is still pretty grey. you adjourned at tai wai station and walk to the housing estate of your aunt. it's been a long time since your last visit.  this is the typical housing estate in hong kong where each family has a very small unit.  from here, you met up your aunt and uncle and take a short taxi ride to the shatin mall.
this is your first dim sum experience and you had your dim sum at a one michelin star restaurant.
you ordered many little 'touch heart' and you're not impressed. some dishes are good but there is no wow factor, perhaps you set yourself too high expectation and hence the result.  it was good to meet your auntie and uncle and your cousin brother also came out for dim sum.  it's good to catch up and rekindle the family ties.  you're relief to find both your auntie and uncle still in good health and fit enough at their age.
from shatin you went to tst to get your glasses prescribed.  this is almost a must do ritual every trip to hong kong. only this time the optical shop has relocated to upper floor in another mall and no longer on the busy nathan road. it took a long time for both of you to get the procedure done, including the frame and detail eye check.  it's now settle and you will come back to collect at the end of your trip.
when you're done with the optical matter, you're hungry again and decided to soak in the cha chan tent cultural. hot horlick for him and iced milk tea for you.
each of you ordered a ball of soup noodles, but you found trace of msg and the beef tendon is not soft enough, even your milk tea is not up to the expectation. the milk tea from the wai's store taste much better than this.
not wanting to stay in the city, you opt for your refuge at stanley, it may not be a perfect day for beach but you still go ahead to enjoy the warm breeze. you see all the familiar building on your journey to stanley.
the humidity is almost at 100%, you're sweating and perspiring but you kinda enjoy the fact that you can sweat effortlessly. he was jumping on the rock like a little kid but before long he fell down and bruise himself a teeny bit.
inside the murray building, houses the western style restaurants...
and the restored pillars just outside murray building... honestly speaking, there's nothing new in stanley but you just kinda enjoy the reminisce of the older days... and compare to your last visit in 2011, less mainlander.
from stanley you took a bus back to tst, and that's when it starts pouring again...
it's so wet that you didn't do what you intended to do in tst aka shopping, but hide in a mall and had your dinner there.  that's pretty much sums up your third day and his second day in the hong kong, pretty humid throughout the day and a wet ending!
