sorry for lack of english words. it's actually quite difficult to translate places in kenting (墾丁). but in short, the first two places that you visited were 風吹砂, pronounced as 'fengchuisha' (wind blow sand) and 貓鼻頭 pronounced as 'maobitou' (cat nose head) , both are different stretch of beaches or the later 'cat nose head' is a national park.
at the pacific coast, the 'wind blow sand' is indeed very windy that you can feel you breath in some sand particles. it's really that windy perhaps due to the confluent of pacific ocean and taiwan strait. the sun rise suppose to be really spectacular here but you opt for the sun rise at where you lodged. so, it's really just a brief stop and move on to the next destination. you wanted to visit eluanbi but it was too crowded with the mainlanders so you drove to your next destination along taiwan strait
at 'cat nose head' or maobitou park, the stone supposed to resemble a cast nose or so forth... you paid the entrance
and walk a bit around the park, the coast is formed by black rock, very different to what you normally see in other beaches
and despite of the heat, you did enjoy the cool breeze here and standing at the platform observing the different country or the coastline of where you lodge from a far....
you're hungry by noon and while debating if you should try this 'flying fish' here or you should have a proper lunch else where, at the end you decided to lunch at houbihu.
