yuen long despite of situation in new territory, it's actually quite a charming city, quite unique compare to hong kong island and kowloon.
you went to the city center of yuen long to run some errands and finally it's the first dry day for you but too bad that you're off to taiwan in the afternoon...
you can still find some old fashion and rustic eateries in and around the corner of the streets. that being said, yuen long also has some renowned eateries that you're yet to visit.
after the errands, together with your fil, you had dim sum (again) at one of the restaurant. there's no dim sum cart where lady pushing the cart and shouting out the dishes, but this place is still rustic enough.
you ordered a few dishes knowing that there's only three of you...
for you, the highlight of this meal is really this pork stomach braised with pepper and ginkgo. the texture is perfect, the taste is balanced with the sweet sour mustard. taste so homey and taste almost exactly the same as the one your mum made in the past
and this restaurant is still running the old system, you paid based on what's chopped on this list not based on what you ordered.
