it's almost over.
last night is a night of celebrations. celebrate the go-live for our client, something that the entire team has worked so hard on. an occasion for appreciation, a time of recognition and a farewell for you.
you bring your camera along because you want to capture those memories. with some colleagues from one of the table |
and the other long table. almost everyone turned out for the celebration.
you were so touched that all four male executives attended the dinner, some you worked with them daily, the other two, you met for the first time but they all know about you and you all talked like you know each other for years.
the three non executive foreigners in the team. american vietnamese whom i have temporary replaced her and a san francisco chap.
your lady executive whom you get along really well... who has been taking care of you, pulling string for you within the japan organization to help you establish your network.
this is your "boy", your faithful "boy" who you rely on to get the work done. you two always argue and ran into disagreement but you always win.
and you were put on spotlight to give a speech. you were a little tipsy and really couldn't recall what you said... but surely you give thanks..
and some assorted dessert to end.
it's certainly a night to remember, a night where you feel so blessed because your work in the last four months have been appreciated. you have a lot of thoughts to share but there is not enough time to organize your thoughts.
you feel sad to bid goodbye tomorrow but the day has come.
it's now closing a chapter. a well written, well established and rewarding chapter.
