okay, you came to hakodate not just for the night view...

you are here for the seafood that they are famous for...

3 colors seafood donburi   - it is also called hakodate donburi (函館 三色丼) in general the toppings are  salmon roe, scallop and sea urchin - a taste of heaven

some quick pick me up in the mid afternoon, deep fried fish (70yen for 2 pcs) as you had the three colors don for breakfast and no more room for lunch...


 another donburi for dinner, this is shrimps with....

scallop, yes, scallop again... as you can't seem to have enough

and a kani (crab)donburi for breakfast, you don't get this that often, so is just a one off indulgence

when you saw the one next to you ordered a bowl of kani (crab) soup, you follow suit

and so two bowls made a perfect breakfast at the seafood heaven... you probably will not come back to hakodate anymore...
