you wanted to visit heavenly mountain that is about 100 km away from urumqi city. you went on a day tour with your friend.
the tour guard is a very vocal lady, she was screaming and shouting throughout the journey explaining the legend, the place that we are visiting. your very first encounter at the national park is the kazak tent, another tribe that dominating xingjiang province besides uyghur tribe.
joining a tour has its disadvantage, while you wanted to just go all the way to the mountain, you were trap to visit the cultural tent, sort of tourist trap....
inside the tent is quite pretty, nicely done up to lure the tourists...
and a kazak man singing some of the famous kazak mountain song while a kazak lady dressed in the traditional kazak costume performing a dance....
mean while you are more attracted to this little store
and your lunch that is part of the tour package is 手抓饭, some sort of bland but greasy fried rice, hardly edible in your opinion....
when you are done you finally hike up to the mountain top, and as part of the tour you are suppose to visit a temple but you let go and walk straight down towards the lake, ignoring all the red lucky charms that put up on the path...
then you both embarked for a short moment of solitude, away from the noise, the crowds, the tourists and walk to a more quiet pasture....
and enjoying this view by yourselves, with a lot of sharing, talking about our lives, our journeys with God and how we count our blessings and survival from illness.
this is the scenery when the heavenly mountain天山 meets the heavenly lake 天池. perhaps it's the weather, you didn't had a clear blue sky to enjoy the reflection of the mountain on the lake, where the two became one... but deep in your heart, you find fuji-san more adorable than heavenly mountain and lake... but that's just your opinion...
