11.11.11

just an account of what happened on 11.11.11.
at 1.11am on 11.11.11 you were wide awake, a rare sleepless night.
at 11.11am on 11.11.11 you were on a conference call.
and this is what happened between the time after 11.11 am and before 11.11pm.

a friend came by in the mid afternoon and you had a good chat. you were glad that talking to her open you to new ideas on how to handle your current situation.
sometime later, little did you know that you ended up in delft.
you didn't have the all purpose lens with you, with the 35mm lens, it's not possible for you to capture the city hall, town square or the cathedral.
so you focus on fraction of scenery and the composition of street light
and you pay attention to the details of the merchandise
and window display. the temperature dropped sharply while you both were wandering around and doing the street photography.
outdoor terrace were empty, you started to get hungry and finally decided on a restaurant.
while on your way to the restaurant, you got side tracked by these handsome horses, again you couldn't get the full horse carriage shot, but it's okay because these horses had a lot of details to appreciate on...

you were very hungry and cold by now, sitting in the warm and cozy greek restaurant is a bliss although in reality, euro crisis is hovering over the entire europe and greece is in the spotlight.
you had a good time. a good time of sharing about life, about church, about Jesus, a good time of discussing photography technique. and a good time in sampling the greek food...
your fried calamari and her mushroom in a pan as starter
the side dishes of tomato rice and fries, and a generous serving of greek salad

you mixed grill plate of which two third went into the doggy bag to take away. the portion is generous and it's just too much for you.
as usual the dessert is typical dutch galore, a lump of whipped cream on top of ice cream and a glass of liquor. it's disgusting.

time flies when you were having good time. it's a good night out and she is a good sister keeper for you.  and by 11.11pm on 11.11.11 you arrived home safely after a good night out with your friend.

these photos are taken with 35mm, I use aperture mode most of the time and adjust the f according to the depth of field i want to achieve. For these low light shot, i set my ISO to 800, EV of +0.3 or +0.7. these setting are still acceptable on hand held...
