withered.orchid

you manage to get yourself into the kitchen somehow. awhile ago you puree some figs, you took it out from the freezer and it needs to be consumed. while thinking of laduree fig cupcake, you try to recompose that in your mind.
while in reality, you just baked some vanilla cupcakes with chunks of boozing fig puree. you infused lot of brandy in your puree.... tossing between decorating them with swiss meringue butter cream and beautify the humble cupcakes up, your mind is just not at par with your physical condition.
so, instead of whipping up swiss meringue butter cream for the first time, you took out the roll fondant, add some violet color gel to it and start kneading.  it was not your intention to create orchid flower.
just that when you looked at your orchid plant in the living room withered away, fallen on the table, you decided to try to make some orchids for the cupcakes. sometime instead of doing what you want to do, it is better to let the nature takes it toil. in this case, the inspiration comes from withered orchid.
in the language of flower, orchid means refined beauty.
in this case, withered orchid, withered beauty.
somehow it is quite appropriate to your state of mind. fig on the other hand, has the meaning of prolific - in abundance,  something that you are yet to discover in your life.
anyway, it's  TGIF, enjoy the weekend!

Teri, I am no expect in photography. these are taken with either my 35mm or 50 mm prime lens. I shoot with Aperture using mostly f2.8 and occasionally the f1.8 for bokeh effect. For the these set of photo i didn't apply EV.
