the japanese most celebrated patisserie chef abroad. sadaharu aoki is his name. i love his macarons that come with different tea flavors pastry. he has an outlet at tokyo midtown which you frequented a lot when you were there in tokyo.
aren't they pretty? aren't they "japanesy"? they are like a piece of art and it's pleasing to the eyes just to look at them, appreciate them and feel them.
this is a new limited edition. it's a sort of mont blanc made of whole chestnut, chestnut cream and rum. light and not overly sweet. it's very japanese too in taste. french mont blanc is usually with meringue which is extremely sweet, this is just perfect without meringue.
this is called bamboo. very zen and very japanese too, it does look very green and comes with a very strong matcha (japanese green tea) taste.
there are several layers and intertwine between matcha and chocolate, make bamboo a very japanese masterpiece with a french twist.
love artisan patisserie. love paris.
