english.apple.cake

you baked this simple english apple cake for a dear friend sister who is dropping by in the afternoon about two weeks ago.
little did you know that she doesn't like apple, not the cake but she just doesn't like anything with apple.  you need to get to  know your dear friend better. for sure in no time....
the cake itself was fairly simple, plain even, but was topped with cinnamon-tossed fresh apple slices. and what you thought would be a pretty simple recipe produced a surprisingly good cake - a really good cake. it was either that the recipe was genius, or that you took your time to make the batter carefully.
but you do know this: you will be making this cake a lot over the coming fall and winter.
and it went really well with a cup of dirty chai and a tint of milk...
even he loved this apple cake so much that he literally said "this is the new standard for apple cake" in the house.

didn't make it to church but ended up at the emergency room because the pain at your left lower abdominal was getting severed. stayed in the hospital for awhile running the urine and blood tests and thanked God there is no further infection apart from the level of hemoglobin is extremely low in my blood.
