it's quite an epic. your dutch friend insisted on a tribal meal while you're not really into it. despite there are a number of restaurants, most of them are not open when you arrived for lunch, and you didn't want to leave the town area and finally you settled for a meal at ranee's.
you ordered a nasi dabai that's fried rice with local olives, a yellow egg plant assam soup and a chicken dish.
the food is not bad, though not particularly suited your palate. but it's definitely an experience.
