welcome to your beautiful playground in borneo. it's been ages since you last paid a visit
everything is perfect except the clear blue sky as the backdrop of mount santubong
the bidayuh house
and the lovely colorful beads costumes
and the dayak house
and right here you experienced the bamboo dance and it's not easy to count and follow the rhythm.
and this is by far the most spacious and beautiful long houses, it's high enough to have some fresh breeze which's welcome on a humid day as such
this is the poorest and the slowest in civilization among the borneo tribes. the penan living in a simple hut
this is strictly speaking not the highlight of the village, but the cangkat and the malay house is quite colorful
and of course last but not least, the chinese house which is modestly presented as in a farm house setting...
the houses in the village still aptly the same as you recalled from your last visit. it's quite well maintained and pleasant for a visit and interacting with the local people. you wish the standard will maintain for the years to come.
entrance fee wise, you're paying the local price by producing your identity card and hence you got to get in with just one third of the full prize that normally a foreigner or non meow-meow citizen would pay. that would be too expensive in your opinion...
