sadly to say, shopping in brunei doesn't turn you on either. the merchandised are too muslim to your liking (just personal preference)
you stop by at one more sight that's the sultan's resident, you know it's not open for public but you thought of a glimpse of the istana but when you arrived. other the signage
if there's something that worth the day, it's probably this chicken rice at thien thien. you ordered one whole chicken and some gizzard for the entire troop to share, and this was indeed yummy delicious and definitely the highlight of the day!
you feel like you're walking in some arab main bazaar where the arabic music is playing and all the fashion on display are of muslim influence.
and the main gate with the map of brunei, you see nothing of the architecture. the palace is some distance after the gate and the thick haze is not helping either, so you could barely see the golden cupola. it's such a bizarre feeling with the sightseeing and the haze.
