i wonder how long can i work without "sushi" and even the spicy curry land once seems to be an option is now rule out. today i called up our travel service to change my ticket bound for japan and when the agent asked me which date i want to change it to, i was speechless, i have no answer. after some investigation apparently i should opt for "no show" tomorrow. the ticket is valid for a year and i can rebook with some penalty. it is literally 30 days count down for my project in tokyo and yet i can't even get back for the final ramp down. set that aside, let me continue my tour of this special mansion.
~~~
yesterday you took your readers for a quick tour of kuinkaku (起雲閣) garden, today you are going to show your readers why this place is such an amazing mansion because every room has its own theme and each room has its own view. seriously if this is a roykan, you have no hesitation to check in for a night or two. it's just way too serene to be missed.
in almost every room, there is this tea/coffee corner by the floor length window. most important is the lookout to the landscape garden and the view
every room has its corner of the view to different scenery, this room has the view of the little pond
even the bath room, once a huge bath room with a sento or super big bath has its share of a view of the garden. imagine if the bath is still functioning and you are here taking your bath and then opt for a soak while admiring the view out there. almost like a heaven on earth. hmmm... imagine the snowy view in the winter...
and there are no lacks of traditional tatami rooms, with the wooden door, tatami floor and again endless outlook to the garden
you don't mind sitting here for a tea ceremony, enjoying small bites of namagashi and sipping your cup of matcha while embracing the nature - tree, pond, stream ....
or as the matter of fact, sitting here in the western room looking at the stony pathway and people watching...
all you want to do is to stay here forever...
happy friday!
