a feast of ascension. ascension of Jesus. He has died (good friday), He rose again from death (easter) and He is now ascending to heaven back to the Father (ascension day).
but He has not gone completely, instead He leaves you and everyone who believe in Him the precious gift of Holy Spirit.
and that's why it's a night of praise and worship, with songs, dances and thanksgiving. you just praised and worshiped the Lord and danced for the entire two three hours.
