wine.festival

it's a hot hot day and a warm warm night. 

this evening you venture out with your colleagues and some client's co-workers to a outdoor wine festival.  it's not very far from the city center and the festival is not super big either.  it's just a frankfurters local community event that your german colleagues want you to sample and experience while you are here.

it's a perfect night for such evening out, warm but not stuffy to give you sweat.  the area is quite crowded with food stalls, beers and wines stalls and band performances.  the aroma of the food from different stalls mingle with the overflowing beers, the chatters, the giggles, the glass clinging sounds made a perfect evening to sample the frankfurters way of life.

while others go and order the white wines and flammenkuchen (german pizzas), you were queuing at the opposite stall...

you had your simple bites from this grill stall, two skewers of chicken meat in wrap with salad and a hot spice. you joined your colleagues at the table, where you all gathered to sample the wine and your choice of food. yum, the wrap is delicious and spicy enough to create a contrast when you  wash down your food with german white wine.

frankfurt apple wine, this is a much better version compared to your first taste of this wine many years ago. it's unlike french's apple cider, this is unsweetened and give a acid sour after taste which is acceptable when the wine is chilled enough. none of you return for more of the apple wine but german white wine - yes!

you left at around 11pm, and the temperature is still about 25c, it's just a bliss and so perfect.
