i mean the strawberry napoleon
i guess that's what happen when one is tired. this evening i cooked the rice without measuring the water and didn't shut the cover properly...so the rice was not cooked after 30 min and it's wet....
i wanted to make the strawberry napoleon in the afternoon but only manage to make the creme patisserie in the afternoon and the actual dessert at night... again due to lack of sleep (i suppose), instead of using filo pastry, i used puff pastry for the crust...
puff pastry, as puffy as it should be... but i should have used filo pastry
anyway, the strawberry get assembled in tiers, the creme patisserie turned out to be a little too dry... well another not so successful event (blame the lack of sleep zzzzzzzzzz)
the taste is actually quite nice=the taste of pastry+strawberry+creme patisserie
next time, it will get better...
next time, i will use filo sheet instead of puff pastry
next time, the creme patisserie will be creamy and smooth
